INNOVATION
For several years, Estampa has been working on an innovative project which is to plant in Colchagua Valley grape varieties from Italy. We brought to Chile 17 clones from different grapes produced by the prestigious Vivai Cooperativi Rauscedo nursery, thus developing the country's largest cultivation of Italian vines. Our Marchigüe vineyards are in the planting and propagation advanced stage of Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Aglianico and Montepulciano. While in our Paredones vineyards, white varieties such as Greco, Fiano, Vermentino and Verduzzo Friulano stand out.
As a result of a constant search in innovation, we launched our Estampa Inspiración wine range, which are Limited Production wines that come from both terroirs. These wines seek to surprise an increasingly dynamic and demanding market.
In this range we make an Italian white blend - Fiano, Greco and Vermentino - vintage 2018 that comes from Paredones and was recently rated 92 points by Descorchados Wine Guide 2019; in the category "Revelation Wine, Best White Blends".
In addition, also from our Paredones vineyards we make a Gewürztraminer and a Riesling. Then, from our Marchigue vineyards we make a Sangiovese. All these varieties are exclusively made at the Wine and Olive Innovation Incubator (IIVO), located in Marchigüe, with the main goal of contributing to the unique diversity of Colchagua Valley.
The creative spirit, technical quality and love for the land allow Estampa to make wines with character that constitute a real contribution to Chile’s wine industry and abroad, thus transforming us in an exceptional winery.
