Estampa was established in 2001 thanks to the vision and entrepreneurial spirit of Miguel González Ortiz, owner and current president of the winery. Since the beginning, Estampa opted for innovation and avant-garde spirit to create world-class wines that fully express the characteristics of each variety and the Terroir they come from: Colchagua Valley.
It is the only winery in Chile that specializes in the production of blend wines, a technique that consists in the careful use of two or more noble varieties, each one contributing its best traits to make well-balanced wines with a unique personality.
The creative spirit, technical quality and love for the land allow to make exceptional wines that represent a true contribution to the wine industry in Chile and transform Estampa into a world-class winery.
At the beginning of the last century, Manuel González Dieguez, a Spanish immigrant, grandfather of the González Ortiz family and great-grandfather of the González Pagola family, acquired a wheat mill near a Catholic church, which in 1987 was named “Molino La Estampa”, in memory of the miracle of the flying stamp.
For decades, the González Barjacoba family - children and descendants - has managed and enhanced the legacy of an iconic food company.
In 1988, the González Ortiz family, linked to food and viticulture innovation of the agriculture industry, ventured into the heart of the Colchagua Valley, where they planted vineyards and built a state-of-the-art winery.
Currently, the González Pagola family continues the unchanging legacy and commitment of the goals set more than 100 years ago: effort, optimum quality, well-being and health for all and to contribute to the country's progress.
González Family’s Estampa DelViento is a Soto 40 sailboat that actively participates in different national and international championships. In countless opportunities, it has been awarded for its high performance, always led by its Captain Miguel A. González. In 2019, they won the Chilean Navy’s Week of Sailing Championship and obtained the 1st place in its category. This is one of the most important competitions in the country where teamwork was a key success factor. The passion for sailing and the ocean inspired us to make Estampa DelViento wine range.
